Laurel I. Bateman, 94, of Ellicott City, MD, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Born on Saturday, May 2, 1925 in Ripley, NY, she was a daughter of the late Carleton S. and Mary Dillaman Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, John G. “Gil” Bateman, who died in 2016, and a son, Daniel B. Wright.
Survivors include three children, Norman E. Wright, David R. Wright and Beverly A. Reed; four step-children, John G. Bateman, III, Elizabeth J. Milbourn, David A. Bateman, and Jeffrey A. Bateman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A cryptside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Garden of the Last Supper Mausoleum in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover with The Rev. Joshua Rhone officiating.
