Services: A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Stottlemyer will be held 10:00am Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Mark Rohnke. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation: A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
LARRY E. STOTTLEMYER, 49, of Hanover, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 21, 2007 at his home. Born in Myersville, MD on October 10, 1957, he was the son of the late Doris Working Troxell and the late Gordon Stottlemyer A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Stottlemyer will be held 10:00am Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Mark Rohnke. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Larry once said I don't want anyone to wear a suit to my funeral....it is therefore requested that all who attend wear their Nascar or casual attire. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Logan Kessel, Michael Ray Kessel Jr., Blake Laughman, Eddie Snyder, Tony Smith and Spencer Wassilekski. For the past fourteen years, he was employed by Stambaugh Metals, Inc. in Hanover. He was a member of the Class of '75 of Walkersville (MD) High School. Mr. Stottlemyer was a Nascar enthusiast, but there was no greater thrill for him than to watch his grandson Michael race the Champ Kart that Pappy had bought for him. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Michael (Jr.) Kessel of Savannah, Georgia and his grandson Michael L. Kessel of whom he was so very proud. He is also survived by a sister Diana Lages of Hanover, and his brothers William S. Troxell of Finksburg, MD and Vernon F. Troxell Jr. of Thurmont, MD. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the YWCA of Hanover Safe Home Program, 23 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, PA 17331.
