He took pride in everything he did.
In addition to his wife of more than 20 years, survivors include four children, Shannon L. Meckley, Corey L. Meckley, both of Hanover, Steven C. Caswell and his fiancée, Christina K. Myers, of Abbottstown, and Alicia C. Caswell of Hanover; three grandchildren, Natalie A. and Hailey A. Meckley, and Mina R. Caswell; two brothers, Kenneth and Leonard Meckley; three sisters, Patricia Aldridge, Darlene Slothour and Shirley Rohrbaugh; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Kenawell.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Rest Haven Cemetery, corner of Westminster and Boundary Avenues in Hanover, with The Rev. Fred Stevenson officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 5 to 8:00 PM Friday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Because of his love of animals, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Double Dog Dare Rescue by visiting doubledogdarerescue.org or to One Dog At A Time Rescue at onedogatatime.us
