Kenneth B. Hershey, 93, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Columbia Cottage.
Born on Tuesday, September 7, 1920 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Cletus G. and Ida M. Hoff Hershey; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Bair Hershey, who died in 1987; two sisters, Doris Eiserman and Lillian Hansford; two half-brothers, Roy and Carroll Hershey; two half-sisters, Bernadette Hartlaub and Pauline Reigle; and a step-brother, Earl Pearson. He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Mr. Hershey retired in 1988 from the P.H. Glatfelter Company after 40 years of service. He enjoyed horses and being outdoors.
Survivors include his second wife, Rosie Garvick Hershey; two daughters, Kerry M. Corley of Arlington, VA and Connie S. Lawrence and her husband, Ronald, of Hanover; three grandchildren, Erica Corley of Alexandria, VA, Jamie Kuchar of Philadelphia and Kelly Hobbs of Felton; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Clark of Hanover; four step-children; and several step-grandchildren.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 1pm Friday, April 18, 2014 at Rest Haven Cemetery with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating.
