Kenneth L. Baublitz, 83, of Hanover, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Hanover Hospital following a brief period of declining health.
Born October 3, 1927 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Cleason D. and Maggie E. Stambaugh Baublitz. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dolores G. Jacoby Baublitz, who died in 1988 and an infant brother.
Mr. Baublitz was a 1946 graduate of Eichelberger High School and was a veteran of the US Army. In 1991, he retired after 27 years of service from the P.H. Glatfelter Company, where he was a member of the 25 year club. He was also a member of the Hanover B.P.O.E. Lodge #763. He enjoyed being in the company of others and friends were keystone in his life.
Survivors include three daughters, Kim Feltch and her husband, Scott, and Kae Murphy all of Hanover, and Keely Groft and her husband, Jamie, of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren, Richard Plesic, III, Christopher Plesic, Benjamin Plesic and Katie Murphy; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving companion of 15 years, Jo Roth, and her family who he thought of as his own which include her son, Jim Roth and his wife, Becky, of Columbia, SC; her daughter, Jackie Evans and her husband, Scott, of Minot, ND; and six grandchildren, Jessica Roth, Jacob Roth, Jacob Cooper, Erin Cooper, Branden Evans and Jeremy Evans.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life to be held at 1 pm Friday at the Hanover B.P.O.E. Lodge. Burial will be private at Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
