Kelly Anne Lovell, 19, of Hanover, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Born on Thursday, November 9, 1995 in Columbia, MD, she was a daughter of Daniel P. Lovell and Amy M. Smith and has been lovingly cared for by Gary R. and Kimberly S. Wetzel of Hanover for many years. Kelly was a student at Hanover High school and had attended the Hanover First Church of God. She was very active with the Mason Dixon Youth for Christ/Campus Life.
She is also survived by her siblings, Courtney, Lisa, Sarah and Emily Lovell, and Jessica Perry and Ryan Wetzel; grandparents, Sharon Smith, and Robert and Elizabeth Wetzel; and a large extended family and group of friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 am Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover with Chaplain Gary Grecco officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at the Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday and 9 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church.
A gathering of students for a time of reflection will be held from 7 to 9 pm Thursday at Youth for Christ, 889 Baltimore Street, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s National Medical Center, Division of Oncology, 111 Michigan Ave., Washington, DC 20010 or to the Mason Dixon Youth for Christ, 889 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA 17331 or to Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331 to help defray the final expenses.
