Kathy Clarke

Kathryn Clarke, 57, of New Oxford, passed away unexpectedly at her home in New Oxford on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Born on Friday, August 14, 1959 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of Shirley K. Smith of Hanover and the late Melvin Smith.

Imaginative in her thinking, she was gifted creative writer. She was a kindhearted woman, who cared more about others than she did herself. Animals were very special to her and she had many loyal companions throughout her life.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Mark Cranshaw of New Oxford; a brother, Stephen L. Smith of Union Bridge, MD and other extended family members.

Following cremation, there will be a graveside service at 11:30 am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075 with Deacon Frank Hayden, III officiating.
