Kathryn M. Hewitt, 88, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Wellspan York Hospital.
Born on Tuesday, February 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Allen Webb Plank and Mary Ethel Staley Plank. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ronald Barry “Buzz” Hewitt, Sr.; and her son, Ronald Barry Hewitt, Jr. Kathryn worked for many years at Faber’s Restaurant in Gettysburg. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and her pride and joy in life were her children, grand children, and great grand children.
Survivors include her two children, Rodney Allen Hewitt and his wife, Robin, Ronda Kay Hewitt; daughter in law, Pam Hewitt; her four grandchildren, Rusty Hewitt, Tim Hewitt, Brooke Smith, and Brittany Bollinger; her 13 great grandchildren, Lane, Audrey, Ellie, Issac, Eli, Scarlett, Addison, Xavier, Holden, Everly, Jude, Hannah, and Lincoln; her sister Anna Fair; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, no services will be held at this time.
