Kathleen M. "Katie" Neiderer

Kathleen M. “Katie” Neiderer, 92, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Born on Saturday, July 16, 1932 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. and Mary Regina Lawrence Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Fred Neiderer; three children, Courtney, Cornell, and Colleen Neiderer; seven siblings, Robert Smith, Harold Smith, Donald Smith, Raymond Smith, Vivian Stambaugh, Constance Neiderer and Richard J. Smith. Katie was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School and was known as the “Hallmark Lady” having worked at Hallmark store in Hanover for many years. She was previously employed at The Bon Ton. Katie was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her close group of friends and her beloved dog, Sadie.

Survivors include one son, Craig F. Neiderer and his wife, Carol, of Biglerville; four grandchildren, Luke Neiderer and his wife, Sarah, of New Cumberland, Tiffany Stoak of Hanover, Jenna Godshall and her husband, Collin, of Dillsburg, Olivia Neiderer of Philadelphia; and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Casey Godshall.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Church by The Reverend Michael P. Reid, II. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow in parish cemetery.
