Katherine “Teetie” Wright Morin, 88, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare-Gettysburg Center.
Born on Wednesday, May 2, 1928 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Agnes Runk Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, George W. Morin, who died in 1976; three brothers, William, Nevin and Richard Wright; and two sisters, Roberta McMaster and Maybelle Woodward.
In 1993, she retired from Snyder’s of Hanover after 20 years of service and was a member of the Paradise Congregation of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved music; playing the guitar and banjo and writing songs. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, George E. Morin and his wife, Sharon, of Abbottstown, William A. Morin and his wife, Roxanne, of New Oxford and Dennis J. Morin and his wife, Terri, of Spring Grove; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and two great-great-grandchildren who are expected into the family; three brothers, Jim Wright and his wife, Bernice, of Green Springs, Don Wright of Mechanicsburg and Melvin Wright of Hanover; a sister, Judy Wright of Gettysburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service is planned.
