Visitation: Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Katherine P. Kitty Dubbs, 72, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, April 7, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of Burtis D. Dubbs, Jr. to whom she was married over 7 years and the late Roy Lamb who died in 1996 after 41 years of marriage. Born in Wesminster, MD on February 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Mary P. Myers Shaeffer. Kitty retired on July 14, 1999 as the Supervisor of Kleffels, Inc. after 24 years of service. She attended First Church of God, Hanover. Kitty graduated from Westminster High School with the Class of 1953. She then attended Baltimore Business College where she earned a degree in Business Management. She enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren, crafting with her daughters and friends at Kleffel's, planting and caring for her lovely azaleas and going to the beach to collect sea shells. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a step son David R. Lamb and wife Carol of Oregon, daughter Vicki Hartlaub and husband Brian of Littlestown, son Douglas R, Lamb and wife Brenda of Spring Grove, daughters Diane Crites and husband Larry of Hanover, Lynn Danner and husband Lyn of Dover, step daughter Kathy Hare of Hanover, Rick Dubbs and wife Linda of Hanover, 11 grandchildren Jason Lamb, Benjamin Hartlaub, Tiffanie Danner, Bria Crites, Brooke Hartlaub, Nathan Danner, Toby Crites, Daniel Danner, David Danner, Isaac Danner, Janaye Danna, 5 step grandchildren, Danielle Howell, Jarrod Keffer, Amanda, Rachele, and Christina Dubbs, a great grandson Wyatt Lamb, 2 step great grandchildren Garrett O'Brian, Kennedy O'Brian, a brother Russell Shaeffer of Westminster, MD, sisters Doris Hoffman of Clinton, TN, Jane Rosensteel of Lititz, PA and a brother William Scheaffer of Manchester, MD. A service of remembrance to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday at First Church of God, 600 Fairview Dr., Hanover. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be private in Krider's Church Cemetery, Westminster, MD. Pastor Dan Thomas will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331. Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
