Judy A. Wright

Judy A. Wright, 76, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Genesis Healthcare – Gettysburg Center while surrounded by her family and holding her nephew Denny’s hand.

Born on Monday, December 15, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Agnes Runk Wright. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Roberta “Bobbi” McMaster, Katherine “Teetie” Morin and Maybelle “Tootie” Woodward; and four brothers, William, Nevin “Sonny”, Richard and Donald Wright. She lived in Hanover for many years with her nephew and his wife, Denny and Terri Morin, until she relocated to the Gettysburg Center in 2012. Judy attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hanover and loved to ride the motorcycle with Denny. She also enjoyed dancing and especially liked press-on tattoos.

Survivors include two brothers, James Wright and his wife, Bernice, and Melvin Wright, all of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at a viewing from 7-8 pm Friday, April 12, 2024 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover. A prayer service will follow at 8 pm with her nephew, John Wright officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
