Judith E. Kehr Sipling, 65, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Sunday morning, March 18, 2012 at York Hospital.
Born October 13, 1946 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of Raymond L. Kehr of New Oxford and the late Pauline Bowers Kehr. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Harold R. Sipling, who died in 2005.
Judith was a retired employee of Utz Quality Foods with 13 years of service and was a member of St. Paul’s (Broadway) Lutheran Church and the Hanover Home Association. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving, in addition to her father, are two daughters, Lori Ann Kern and her husband, James, of Thomasville, and Lisa Marie Unger and her husband, Stanley, of Hanover; one son, Kevin E. Sipling of Hanover; five sisters, Donna Leese and her husband, Melvin, Patricia Gebhart and her husband, Wayne, Peggy Smith and her husband, Gerald, Pamela Flynn and her husband, Sean, all of Hanover, and Stacie Coppersmith and her husband, Todd, of New Oxford; four brothers, Larry Kehr of Thomasville, Gerald Kehr and his wife, Debbie, of Texas, Daniel Kehr and his wife, Julie, and William “Bill” Kehr and his wife, Rhonda, all of Hanover; six grandchildren; one step-grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Terrence McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing 6-8:00 pm Tuesday and 10-11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Marburg Memorial Gardens.
