Joyce R. Kintzing, 82, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her home.
Born on Friday, September 1, 1933 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer N. and Ethel Border Rohrbaugh, and was the wife of the late James B. Kintzing, Jr., who died in 1980. A 1951 graduate of Eichelberger High School, she had been a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Joyce was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Hanover Elks BPOE Lodge #763 and the AmVets Post #22. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and completing puzzles of all types. She was also an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.
Survivors include her five children, Sally Staub and her husband, Jim, Lynn Robinson and her husband, Troy, Kimberly Frey, Jody Morningstar, and Timothy Holland and his wife, Angie; a sister, Joan Marchio; a brother, Ronald Rohrbaugh and his wife, Carol, all of Hanover; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, with an eighth to be born soon; three step-children, John Kintzing and his wife, Meg, of Chesapeake, VA, Jay Kintzing and his wife, Sylvia, of Billings, MT, and Jean Blood and her husband, Ken, of Reston, VA; and eight step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, with The Rev. Kate Schroeder officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
