Josephine “Jo” Loretta Storm, 64, of Hanover, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the home of her son, Gary.
Born on Thursday, August 16, 1951 in New Oxford, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Carolyn E. Heltebridle Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Leo Storm, Sr.; two sisters, Julia Moore James and Grace Moore Sipling and a brother, Lawrence Moore.
Jo had many different jobs in her life; Winter Gardens, GlaxoSmithKline, and Sonoco just to name a few. She gained the most joy when she operated her own daycare, which she ran for 18 years. She had a vast amount of interests. She enjoyed crocheting and creating projects for her family, such as afghans. She also had a great love of lighthouses which she collected for many years. As an art enthusiast, she loved to sketch in charcoals and pencil. She was and will always be loved and forever missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Mejia and her husband, Hernan; two sons, Gary L. Moats, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, and William G. Moats; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred, Henry, Frank, Sarah, George, Ruth and Wayne; and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday, March 9, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
