Joseph Vernon Meushaw, Jr., 88, of Hanover, formerly of Catonsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital.
Born on Sunday, February 28, 1932, he was a son of the late Joseph Vernon, Sr. and Mary Stolzenbach Meushaw. He was also preceded in death by his wife of nearly 70 years, Naomi Meushaw who died in 2018; a grandson, Michael Meushaw; and five siblings, Mary, Caroline, Eddie, Walter, and Charles. A proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard, Joseph enjoyed fishing, crabbing, watching horse races and football; especially the Las Vegas Raiders, formerly of Oakland.
Survivors include three children, John Meushaw and his wife, Carla, Michael Meushaw, and Joy Meushaw-Holler and her husband, Mark; seven grandchildren, Christopher Meushaw, Christina Lanahan and her husband, John, Heather Young and her husband, Bill, Angela Meushaw, Megan Merrill and her husband, Shawn, Vincent Meushaw and his fiancée, Shannon, and Patrick Holler and his girlfriend, Rachel; 12 great grandchildren, Cara, Autumn, Madison, Emma, Adalynn, Vincent Jr., Tristian, Tyler, Addy, Caiden, Hannah, and Audi; and his best buddy, Jax.
