Joseph L. Link, 84, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Hanover Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.



Born Sunday, July 14, 1929 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late David L. and Ella Deugwillo Link, and was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Frances E. Wiedefeld Link, who died in 1997; a daughter Jennifer Link; a grandson, Zachary G. Link; and a sister, Betty Stiller.



Mr. Link worked at Technigraphics of Maryland formerly known as Maryland Etching Company for more than 35 years as a lithographer, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St .Joseph Catholic Church and served with the US Navy during the Korean War. Along with his wife, they enjoyed many things together such as antiquing, going to doll and antique shows, and gardening. He was known to be a “jack of all trades” and a farmer.



He is survived by three sons; Joseph A. Link and his wife, Vicki, Richard L. Link and Christopher G. Link and his wife, Lisa, all of Hanover; four daughters; Theresa Nonemaker and her husband, Terry, of Hanover, Margie Rhine and her husband, Paul, of Glenville, Cherie Peters and her husband, Bob, of New Oxford, and Amy Adams and her husband, Brad, of East Berlin; fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Link; and sisters, Delores Szewczyk and Florence McDonald, both of Baltimore.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military graveside rites being rendered by Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Brad Adams, Daniel Kenney, Anthony Rhine, Michael Link, Paul Rhine, Ernie McCauley, Sam Wilt, and Chris Rymal.



The family will receive friends at a viewing 6-8PM Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc, 311 Broadway.



In addition to other memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638.
