John V. "Jack" Cahill

John V. "Jack" Cahill

Jack Cahill, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his home.



Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Jack and Mary Cahill. Jack served in the United States Air force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA.



Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Becky Cahill; one son, Jimmy Miller; two daughters, Cara Greene and her husband, Dave, and Annie Wilt and her husband, Sam; four grandchildren, Mallory, June “JR”, Gavin, Everett “ET”; two brothers, Dennis and Brian; three sisters, Maryann, Patsy, and Christine; and many nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hanover with The Rev. Robert Coddington officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God’s Meal Barrel, 413 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA, 17331 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
