Joan B. Swindler
Joan B. Swindler, 83, of Hanover, loving wife of Addison L. Swindler, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, December18, 2016 at Hanover Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Netus Henry and Viola Pearl Dodson Brown. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Netus Harold Brown, Charles Henry Brown, and Jean Brown Castaldi Webb; and one nephew, John Alexander Castaldi.
A 1953 graduate of Rappahannock High School, Joan was a member of Sperryville United Methodist Church in Sperryville, VA. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her beloved grandsons. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, survivors include two children, Michael Lee Swindler and his wife, Cayle (Otto), of Boiling Springs and Barbara Dawn Swindler of Hanover; three grandsons, Colton Michael, Trenton Lee, and Braedon Robert Swindler, all of Boiling Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
