Jo Ann Wagaman, 64, of Hanover, beloved wife of Jeffery L. Wagaman, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 at her home.
Born on Wednesday, November 28, 1956 in Hanover, she was the daughter Kenneth E. and Jeanne Luckenbaugh Bailey. A 1974 graduate of Hanover High School, she also graduated in 1976 from the Hanover Public School District’s Nursing Program. Jo Ann was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Homewood on York Street and at Plum Creek for many years, and later at Golden Visions Adult Day Care. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and taking trips to Knoebels Amusement Park. Her greatest pleasure was spending time family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by two daughters, Melanie Torres and her fiancé, Joshua Sheppard, of York, Bethany Trask of Hanover; three stepchildren, Jeffery A. Wagaman of York, Heather Fogle and her husband, Brian, of Taneytown, MD, and Melinda Wagaman of Dover; eight grandchildren, Torin, Camden, Derrick, Cody, Aleisa, Alice, John and Darren; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Amelia; and a brother, Richard Bailey and his wife, Nancy, of Pleasant Gap, PA.
The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday, February 15, 2021 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. In compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the visitation will be required to wear masks, be socially distanced and attendance inside the funeral home will be limited.

beginning at 11 AM Tuesday. A public graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
