Jewell O. Good, 95, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Wednesday, February 8, 1922 in North Carolina, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leroy D. Good, who died in 2011 and her daughter, Carol Chiarizia, who died in 2005. Jewell began her nursing career in the U.S. Army during World War II and continued to practice nursing in different hospitals until her retirement in the 1970’s.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Ann Good and her husband, David Addis, of Arlington, TX; a grandson, Thomas Chiarizia and his wife, Lee Ann; and a great-granddaughter, Kathryn Rose Chiarizia, all of Fairfield.
Following cremation, Jewell will be buried alongside her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
