Jeffrey C. Breighner

Jeffrey C. Breighner, 53, of McSherrystown, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center following an unexpected illness.

Born on October 25, 1958 in Hanover, he was a son of Arlene B. Yingling Breighner Ferguson of McSherrystown and the late William C. Brieghner, who died in 1968. He was in the Class of 1976 at South Western High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He previously resided in Conway, SC where he was employed as a cook, before returning to the Hanover area. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed football and NASCAR.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Donna M. Therit and two nieces, Whitney A. Matthews and her husband, Chris and Hilary V. Therit, all of Hanover.

The family will receive friends at a viewing from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday. March 27, 2012 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. The funeral will follow at 7 pm with The Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will be private.
