Jeffrey C. Becker

Jeffrey C. “Paw” Becker, 74, of Hanover, husband of Donna Lee Zartman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at his home.

Born on Monday, September 20, 1948 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Clark M. and Arlene Weaver Becker. A 1966 graduate of South Western High School, he later graduated from York College before receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Millersville University. Jeffrey took great pride in his chosen career as an art teacher at Susquehannock High School, a position he held for 35 years before retiring in 2005. Also at Susquehannock, he served as the yearbook advisor, and did the artwork for the school plays and various other school projects. A member of Trinity United Church of Christ where he taught Sunday School and played Santa Clause, he volunteered time to the community doing face painting and helping out wherever he could. Jeff enjoyed wrestling, travelling and was a Disney enthusiast who dearly loved his dogs. Moreover, he will be long remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, teacher and friend.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 55 years, is a son, Michael Becker and his wife, Michelle; and a granddaughter, Riley Becker.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
