Jeanette D. Hershey

Jeanette D. Hershey, 83, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Spiritrust Lutheran, The Village at Utz Terrace.   Born on Wednesday, September 7, 1932 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Hershey, Sr. and Treva Heilman Hershey. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. Hershey, Jr.. Jeanette was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and a domestic housekeeper who enjoyed taking care of children and helping others. She also enjoyed cooking and loved animals.   She is survived by a cousin, Barbara Rebling, and a dear friend, Gloria J. Krug, both of Hanover.   The funeral will be held at 1 pm Monday, December 7, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.   Serving as pallbearers will be Douglas Krug, Jonathan Brown, Adam Brown, Mark Deardorff, Ian Deardorff and Frederick Isaacs.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guthrie Memorial Library, 2 Library Place, Hanover, PA 17331.
