Jean E. Sheppard, 92, of Hanover, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace.
Born July 26, 1917 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Gordon Reynolds Taylor and wife of 55 years to the late Harold William Sheppard, who died in 2000.
Mrs. Sheppard was employed for nearly 40 years with Rockwell Collins, retiring in 1982. While there, she assisted with the Apollo Mission manual. She was active in yoga, knitting, and enjoyed music.
She is survived by her daughter, Annajean Lybarger and her husband, Mike, of Hanover; two grandsons, Brandon and Rick Lybarger.
The Memorial Service will be held 3:oo pm Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the Skilled Care Center Activity Room at Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace with the facility’s chaplain, The Rev. Nancy Werner, officiating. Burial took place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at an earlier date.
