Jean A. (Wolf) Duttera, 94, of Hanover, peacefully entered into Gods eternal care on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at home while surrounded by her family.
Born on Friday, August 1, 1930 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Ella Ebaugh Wolf. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Allen Duttera, who died in 2014, and by seven brothers and six sisters. Jean was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed shopping, playing cards, and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Allen T. Duttera and his wife, Sandra, of Abbottstown; four daughters, Shari Leyva of McSherrystown, Wanda Orndorff and her husband, Edwin, of New Oxford, Renee Sterner and her husband, Todd, of Spring Grove and Sonya Baker of Hanover; nine grandchildren, Stacy Smith and her husband, Darrin, Amber Longenecker and her husband, Aaron, Lindsay Veres and her husband, Mihai, Nathan Sterner and his wife, Emily, Shane Baker, Steven Baker and his fiancée, Alyssa, Alexia Colin and her husband, Giovannni, Andrea Rangel and her husband, Jesus, and Conor Orndorff; twelve great-grandchildren, Claudia, Annika, Camden and Amanda Smith, Mario and Milan Colin, Sophia and Stella Longenecker, Gianna Veres, Colton, Cameron, and Leeann Baker; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Nathan Sterner, Steven Baker, Shane Baker, Conor Orndoff, Camden Smith, and Jeff Duttera will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for a viewing from 6 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home with the rosary being recited at 8 PM.
