Jean A. Bollinger, 89, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Thursday, October 2, 1924 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ernest M. and Treva L. Trone Leese; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ralph J. Bollinger, who died in 1990. Mrs. Bollinger was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kimberly M. Beard of Hanover and Shari L. Lauer and her husband, Don, of Spring Grove; four sisters, Doris Staub of New Oxford, Winifred Petry of Hanover, Shirley Weaver of Abbottstown, and Phyllis Moul of Hanover; one brother, Ronald Leese of Hanover; three grandchildren, Jason and Nathan Lauer, and Amy Wonder; and two great-grandchildren, D.J. and Abigail Wonder.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 1, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will follow in the York Road Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10-11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
