Janet L. Noel

Janet L. Noel, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in York.

Born on Wednesday, August 29, 1928 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Beatrice Warner Bair. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 61 years, Bernard J. Noel, Jr., who died in 2008; a daughter, Joanne Noel; two sisters, Irene Wentz and Audrey Hull; four brothers, Glenn, Clayton, Dale and David Bair; and a great-great-grandson, Adrian Culp. Janet was a retired employee of Doubleday Publishing, a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ and enjoyed knitting, playing cards, completing puzzles and fishing with her husband in her younger days. She was a dedicated Baltimore Orioles fan and loved attending family reunions.

Survivors include three children, Thomas Noel and his wife, Pamela, of Hanover, Carolyn Mallory of New Oxford, and Terry Noel and his wife, Wendy, of Hanover; a sister, Sara Sanner of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, Douglas Noel, Melissa Anthony, Robert Mallory, Joseph Mallory and his companion, Angie, and Ryan and Nicholas Noel; eleven great-grandchildren, Brittany, David, Dylan, Alysa, Deric, Ashley, Jared, Kya, Peyton, Tristen and Jordan and his wife, Courtney; three great-great-grandchildren, Brantley, Myles and Zane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Trinity United Church of Christ with The Rev. Dr. Kim Blocher officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
