Services: A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York St., Hanover.
Visitation: Viewing will be in the church parlor Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
Janet R. Busler, 77, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 12:20 p.m. Friday afternoon, April 6, 2006 at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of Verne M. Busler, Jr., M.D. Born in York on February 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert J. and Hilda Kirschner Everhart. Mrs. Busler graduated from William Penn High School with the class of 1948. As a sophmore, she met and fell in love with Verne whom she married on October 2, 1949. Mrs. Busler then attended York Junior College eventually earning an Associate Degree as a Medical Secretary. During their early years of marriage they had lived in Florida and Philadelphia while Verne was in the Navy and attending Medical School. Mrs. Busler had been employed as an Executive Administrative Secretary of the Cardiovascular Research Unit Temple Medical School of Temple University and while in that capacity earned a P.H.T. certificate for Putting Him Through. Eventually returning to York county to raise their family, the Busler's moved to Hanover where they joined St. Paul Lutheran Church on York St. Mrs. Busler became active in the community serving on the Board at the YWCA and the Hanover Area Historical Society. Her skills were also well known as an avid bridge player, gourmet cook, but most of all as a good mom. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed by her sons Michaed R. and wife Angela of East Hampton, CT, David V. and wife Deborah of York, Steven J. of York, 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and several cousins. A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York St., Hanover. Viewing will be in the church parlor Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. The Rev. Timothy J. Kielley will officiate. Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanover Area Historical Society Inc., 105 High St., Hanover, PA 17331 or the Hanover YWCA, 23 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, PA 17331. Serving as Pallbearers will be Steven, David, Michael, John, Patrick, and Travis Busler.
