James E. “Jim” Zinneman, 90, of Hanover, beloved husband of Dolores L. Wallick Zinneman, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his home.
Born on Wednesday, September 21, 1932 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Oscar H. and Beulah Schuman Zinneman. A former employee of American Can, he later worked for Cam Industries. Jim was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, AmVets Post #22 and the Hanover Republican Club. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and his favorite pastime, fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 71 years, are three children, Sally Hampton and her husband, Michael, of Glenville, Peggy Myers of Spring Grove, and Alan Zinneman and his wife, Joyce, of Hanover; and two grandchildren, Abby Hampton and Jessie Myers. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Zinneman; and most recently, a son-in-law, Allen Myers.
A private service will be held in the future.
