James D. Scheibe, 92, of Hanover, beloved husband of Delma M. Scheibe, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at The Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Born on Sunday, February 7, 1932 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James D. and Francis L. Ellerman Scheibe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Rollings. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Army. James was employed as a ship fitter for more than 65 years, having worked for the Maryland Drydock Company and the US Coast Guard. He thoroughly enjoyed astrology, watching the Discover Channel and The Curse of Oak Island on the History Channel, and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 65 years, is a daughter, Carla Rzepkowski and her husband, Peter; two grandsons, Colin and Aiden Rzepkowski; and his beloved Labradoodle, Daisy.
A private service will be held with military honors being rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
