Services: A service to remember and celebrate the life of James E. Kessler will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Panebaker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation: A viewing will be held from 10-11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home.
James E. Kessler, 81, of Hanover, PA went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 9, 2008 at his residence.Born November 7, 1926, in Hanover, to the late Roy L. and Hyacinthe Grove Kessler, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty Jane Pascoe Kessler, who died January 22, 2005. Mr. Kessler was a 1944 graduate of Eichelberger High School, was a machinist with Hanover Tool for 30 years and was a former employee of the R.H. Sheppard Machine Shop. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover.Survivors include his son, David Kessler and wife, Wendy, of Hanover; two grandsons, Michael and John Kessler both of Hanover; two brothers, William and Fred Kessler, both of Hanover; and his sister, Harriet Reck of Hanover.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
