Iva Day Krebs
Iva Day Krebs, 97, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Friday, June 29, 1917 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand C. and Daisy Wildasin Day. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Emanuel S. Krebs, who died in 1991; three sisters, Hilda Kopp, Leah Alwood and Treva Hoke; and three brothers, William, Stanley and Denton Day. Iva was a member of the former Grace Evangelical Church, which was located on the corner of Spring Avenue and Locust Street in Hanover, and was a life member of the church’s Sunday School.
Survivors include a step-brother, Pius Kaltreider of Beverly, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held and burial will be in York Road Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of York, 50 East King Street, York, PA 17401.
