Ian C. Baker, 19, of Hanover, died Friday, November 4, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on September 17, 1992 in Gettysburg, PA and was a 2011 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School, where he excelled in graphic arts design. Several of his projects and designs were utilized by the school for its events. He had a pure heart and was a true friend to many. His best friend since Kindergarten, Ian Brown, shared in many of his life’s events, which included vacations and nightlong campfires at the fire pit. His smile, quick wit, and ability to be the peacemaker in sibling squabbles will be missed.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth M. Baker of New Oxford and her boyfriend Steven Fuchsluger of Baltimore, MD; his father, D. Paul Baker, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer L. Baker of Hanover; his siblings, Ethan Baker, Autumn Brendle, Sydni Baker, Chloe Brendle and Luke Baker; his maternal grandmother, Irma Vogel of Randallstown and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, LeEsta Peltzer and his maternal grandfather, August Vogel.
The funeral will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick Street, Hanover with The Rev. Thomas H. Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends at the viewing from 4 to 6:30 pm Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
