Henry C. “Bud” Livelsberger, 95, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Monday, December 8, 1924 in Irishtown, he was a son of the late James A. and Bertha Sneeringer Livelsberger. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Doris A. Livelsberger, who died in 2019; three siblings, Genevieve Tressler, Francis and Robert Livelsberger; and several half brothers and half sisters. A 1943 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, he was a longtime employee of the former Alloy Rods, before retiring in 1995. Bud was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, church choir and had served as a cantor. He entertained the residents of Hanover Hall and Homewood with his vocal talents and was also a member of the McSherrystown Home Association.
Survivors include a son, Eugene H. Livelsberger of Hanover; three daughters, Carole A. Kinneman and her husband, John, of Hanover, Diane L. Baumgardner and her husband, John, of Littlestown, and Brenda J. Leach and her husband, John, of Hanover; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Jacoby of Hanover; several half brother and half sisters, and nieces and nephews.
