Helen Evelene Purcell, 87, of Lecanto, FL, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Brentwood Retirement Community.
Born on Monday, August 5, 1929 in Princewick, WV, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Delta Cox Meadows. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, John Kenneth Purcell, who died in 2016, her daughter, Carole L. Purcell, and two brothers, Hubert C. Meadows and Hollie W. Meadows. A member of Trinity Baptist Church in New Port Richey, FL, Helen worked as a phlebotomist for MetPath Lab until her retirement in 1990.
Survivors include one son, John K. Purcell and his wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Megan Davis and her husband, Anthony, and Adam and Kelly Purcell; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sydney Davis; one brother, Bruce C. Meadows; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service is planned.
