Helen L. “Tootie” Doll, 94, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Hanover Hall.
Born on October 30, 1918 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Abraham L. Geiman, Sr. and Treva Leese Geiman Badders and wife of the late Robert F. Doll, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Doll, Jr., a sister, Mary Evelyn Stetter, and her brother, Abraham L. Geiman, Jr.
A 1936 graduate of Eichelberger High School, she spent her career as a cafeteria cook with the South Western School District and retired after 26 years of service. She was a devoted member of Trinity United Church of Christ since 1938, where she cared for the children in the nursery and was active with the AARP #2812. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She never passed up a chance to care and was loved by everyone she met.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Wildasin and her husband Robert, of Mount Joy and Holly Elliot and her husband, Guy F., of Hanover; a son, George E. Doll and his wife, Teresa, of Hanover; a daughter in law, Colleen Dubs; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, with Pastor Robert Doll officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
