Heather M. Kagarise, 43, of Hanover, life partner of David Sell, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.
Born on Tuesday, November 15, 1977, she was a daughter of Steven Kagarise and his wife, Diane, of Littlestown and Patricia Creager Strickler and her husband, Orvin, of DE. She is preceded in death by an uncle, Dave Kagarise; paternal grandmother, Lena Kagarise; and her faithful Labrador Retriever, Ash.
A 1996 graduate of Littlestown High School, Heather owned and operated a hair salon for more than 15 years. With a heart of gold, she was an active volunteer with Relay for Life and the Adams County SPCA. A social butterfly with a creative spirit, she enjoyed crafting, painting, crocheting, embroidering, quilting, fishing and kayaking. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and planning for family gatherings.
In addition to her parents and partner of 18 years, survivors include two sisters, Corby Holdridge and Janelle Koontz and her husband, Matthew; two daughters, Carley Smith and her husband, Aaron, and Alley Sell; a granddaughter, Layla; paternal grandfather, Marion “Eck” Kagarise; her beloved dog, Kimber; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 6PM at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 311 Broadway, Hanover, with Chaplain Alan Echard officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
