Services: The funeral will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover with Pastor Geraldine Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Hazel E. Wildasin, 84, of Hanover entered into God’s eternal care, Sunday April 5, 2009 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.Born November 3, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, PA, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Esther Evans Laughman and wife of the late Elwood Wildasin, who died in 1995. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Spangler, Evelyn Bream and Ruth Kaiser, and four brothers, Charles Laughman, Melvin Laughman, Clair Laughman and Bernard Laughman. Hazel was formerly employed by Middleburg Manufacturing for many years and also worked part-time for Hanover Terminal from 1979 to 1983. She was a member of the Hanover Church of the Brethren and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked hard in the home, where she enjoyed cooking and canning.Survivors include five daughters, Linda Miller and her life partner Mike, and Shirley Benes and her husband Frank all of Hanover, Robin Baumgardner and her husband Tom of York, Kim Anderson of Lompoc, CA, and Jane Wildasin and her life partner Tom of Manchester, MD; one sister, Myrna Ginter of Brushtown; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
