Hazel M. Weaver, 85, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Sunday, May 29, 1932 in Rockingham, Virginia and raised in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late Alphia H. Rimel, Sr. and Ethel J. Shifflett Rimel. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Samuel D. Weaver, Sr., who died in 1975; a daughter, Karen Bollinger, who died in 2016; a son, James A. Weaver, who died in 2008; two brothers, Alphie H. Rimel, Jr. and Donald Rimel; and three sisters, Virginia Shanholt, Phyllis Wagaman and Jane Klunk. Hazel was an employee of Middleburg Manufacturing and Anneco Trousers for 30 years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Samuel D. Weaver, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Hanover, Wanda L. Castro and her husband, Natividad, of Waco, TX, Victoria A. Arentz of Spring Grove, and Patti S. Morris and her husband, Mike, of Hanover; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Bankert and her husband, Gary, of Bloomsburg.
A funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Pastor Jason M. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
