Harriette Bair Davis, 97, former resident of Homewood at Plum Creek, died on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, MD.
A native of Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Emory and Nettie Sell Bair. A graduate of Temple University, she trained as a physical therapist at the Mayo Clinic during World War II. She had a career in physical therapy and her work with children, particularly those who had cerebral palsy, was her passion. In 1976, she retired from the Baltimore County, MD school system, where she was a physical therapist at Rolling Road School in Catonsville.
An avid outdoorswoman, she owned three riding horses and a sailboat, loved walking the beach and swimming in Siesta Key, FL, where she lived for almost 20 years before moving back to Hanover.
She is survived by two nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services are private and burial will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
