Harold H. Dusman, 90, of Hanover, beloved husband of Darthea Becker Dusman, died on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Born on Sunday, September 21, 1924 in Hanover, he was a son of the late J.W. and Lettie Fuhrman Dusman. He graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1940 and was the owner of Harold H. Dusman Building, Remodeling and Electrical Service for 28 years as well as the Walnut Street Auto Sales before his retirement.

Harold was a member of St. Paul’s (Dubs) United Church of Christ, where he had been active in the Sunday School and other church activities. A member of the Exchange Club of Hanover, he served as Past President in 1981 and also was awarded the Exchangite of the Year in 1976. He also held memberships with the Hanover Elks BPOE #763, the York County Builders Association and the Hanover Republican Club.

In addition to his wife of nearly 67 years, he is survived by two sons, Paul Dusman and his wife, Dianne, and Alan Dusman and his wife, Amanda, all of Hanover; two daughters, Dianne Dusman and her husband, James Halterman, of Wellsville and Linda Dusman of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, David Dusman and his wife, Shari, Tyler Billingsley and his wife, Laurel, and Chelsea, Cameron, Elliana, Max and Samuel Dusman; three great-grandchildren, Stefany, Tiffany and Drew Dusman; and a brother, Harry Dusman and his wife, Lillian, of Hanover. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Romaine Fuhrman and Ruth Bruce.

The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Paul’s (Dubs) United Church of Christ with The Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and also one hour prior to the service at the church. A Service of Remembrance by the Exchange Club of Hanover will be held at 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
