Goldie May Wagner, 95, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home.
Born on Friday, February 27, 1920 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Emmon and Edna Zumbrum Dubs. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry L. Wagner, who died in 1993; three grandchildren, Randy Wagner, Larry Wagner, Jr., and Penny Glass; and three sisters, Romaine Myers, Carrie Becker, and Arlene Spangler.
Mrs. Wagner retired from Revonah Spinning Mill after 33 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul’s (Dubs) Union Church and enjoyed traveling and walking. Goldie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, a gift from Heaven.
Survivors include a son, Larry L. Wagner and his companion Shirley Luckenbaugh; a daughter Shirley A. Gladfelter, all of Hanover; ten grandchildren, Larry Gladfelter and his wife, Tammy, Brian Gladfelter and his wife, Shelly, Jeffrey Gladfelter and his wife, Michelle, Douglas Gladfelter and his wife, April, Stanley Wagner and his wife, Sara, Leon Wagner and his wife, Teresa, Wayne Wagner and his wife, Lori, Kevin Wagner, Sr., and his wife, Melissa, Rena Bankert and her husband, Dean, and Rick Wagner and fiancée, Tammy Utz; 21 great-grand children; and nine great-great-grand children.
The funeral will be held at 1 pm Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Paul’s (Dubs) Union Church with The Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Goldie’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
