Gloria J. Hilker, 71, beloved wife of Kenneth E. Hilker of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Hanover Hospital.
Born November 18, 1939 in Hanover, she was a daughter of John Stawski of Hanover, for whom she was a caregiver for many years, and the late Geraldine Baker Stawski. Gloria was devoted to her to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Lohr’s United Methodist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 51 years and her father, are two sons, Douglas E. Hilker and his companion, Pat Hippensteel, and Randy L. Hilker and his wife, Faye A. Messinger Hilker, all of Hanover; one daughter, Lorie A. Klunk and her husband, Douglas B. Klunk, of Hanover; one sister, Nancy E. Weaver and her husband, Leroy, of Hanover; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Brent, John, Brittany and Jennifer Hilker, Danielle Klunk, Aimee Klunk Selfridge, and Lindsay Kastner; and five great-grandchildren, Ronan, Alexia and Brett Hilker, Brooke Conover, and Adalyn Hilker.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Road, Hanover with Revs. Jerry Shoap, Dan Thomas and Marty Kiggins officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at a viewing 6-9:00 PM Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and from 9-10:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
