Gertrude M. Wentz, 97, of York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill.
Born on Sunday, December 20, 1923, in Elkins Park, she was a daughter of the late George and Pauline Schragg Mueller. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mervin Wentz; and a brother, John Hugo Mueller. A 1941 graduate of Cheltenham High School in Cheltenham, PA, she worked as a buyer for Dupont Chemical in Wilmington, DE for over 40 years.
Survivors include two nephews, Rodney Mueller and Douglas Mueller. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to her caretakers and hospice for exceptional care of Gertrude.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
