Geraldine T. Krichten

Geraldine “Sis” Neiderer Krichten, 88, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at her home. Born on Tuesday, April 19, 1927 in Brushtown, she was a daughter of the late Leroy P. and Esther Bolin Neiderer. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edwin Krichten, who died in 2007; three children, Glenn, Edwin and Martha Krichten; and three sisters, Joan Wildharber, Patricia Harner and Ruth Hankey. Mrs. Krichten was a 1945 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was active with the Grandview Seniors. She was also a member of the Hanover Cyclers Bicycle Club. Sis was an avid reader and loved music. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her girls whom were the center of her life. Sis enjoyed yearly trips to Ocean City, Maryland where she would enjoy walking on the beach, eating out and shopping. Surviving are her two daughter Kathi and Patricia (Trisha) Krichten whom she loved very much and were a big part of her life; a brother Mark Neiderer all whom live in Hanover; and her furbabies, Mickey, Kody, Ruffian, Silver Spring and Wizard A memorial mass will be said 10 am Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday with a recitation of the Rosary at 8 pm at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331, or to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
