Gerald "Jerry" Smith

Gerald “Jerry” Smith, 82, beloved husband of Peggy Louise Kehr Smith, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on Monday, August 10, 1942 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Theodore Paul Smith and Rosella Bowman Smith. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Smith and Theodore Smith, Jr. Jerry was employed by the former Liberty Nissan in Hanover and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed collectibles, especially collecting coins. Jerry also enjoyed antiques and refinishing wooden tool boxes.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 61 years, is his son, Matthew Smith and his wife, Amy; two granddaughters, Lauren and Brianna Smith; two step grandchildren, Wyatt and Abigail Sellman; a sister in law, Darlene Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews and his extended in law family.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Marburg Memorial Gardens, 2510 Grandview Road, Hanover.
