Gerald R. Grove

Gerald Rodney Grove, 86, of Spokane, WA, formerly of Hanover, husband of Constance Stoumbas Grove, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Born on Monday, May 23, 1939 in Taneytown, MD, he was a son of the late Gilbert Collins Grove and Bernice Virginia Koontz Grove. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a 1956 graduate of Eichelberger High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as a previous Eucharistic minister. Gerald also worked as an accountant for Sheets Truck Center until his retirement.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, are his two daughters, Julia Hiles and her husband, Kirk and Terri Griffin and her husband, Jeff; two siblings, Denny Grove and Nancy Grove; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
