Georgine A. Ruff, 91, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on Thursday, September 23, 1926 in Schuylkill Haven, she was a daughter of the late Norman L. and Helen Sharidan Stoudt. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bryson L. Ruff, who died in 2013.
A graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, she was a retired employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Georgine was a member of the Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church in Olney, MD where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Neil Diamond, playing the piano and gardening, and was an avid Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles fan.
Survivors include her two sons, Gregory B. Ruff and his wife, Helen, of Germantown, MD and Gordon R. Ruff and his wife, Lisa; a granddaughter, Alyssa Ruff, all of Eldersburg; and a sister, Gladys Laubenstine of Mechanicsburg.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Rest Haven Cemetery at the corners of Boundary and Westminster Avenues in Hanover, with The Rev. Dr. Joel B. Hummel and The Rev. Richard Benner officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolence Fund, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
