George J. Kirsch, Jr. 72, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Born on Tuesday, November 16, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, he was the eldest son of the late George Kirsch, Sr. and Lois Thumser Kirsch. He is also preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Norma and Sharon Kirsch. A proud United States Army veteran, he was a member of the Catholic faith and worked as a product controller for Western Electric in Baltimore for 30 years and most recently, Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Stewartstown. Gifted with his hands, George enjoyed duck carving, skeet shooting, fishing and flying remote controlled airplanes.
Survivors include four siblings, Mary J. Hart and her husband, Barry, Paul A. Kirsch and his wife, Kathy, Brian J. Kirsch and his companion, Kathleen Jones, and Kevin J. Kirsch; nieces and nephews, Duane Welday, Katie, Mary Jessica, Jim, and Alex Kirsch; a companion of seven years, Lea Neidhardt; and Lea’s two children, Jennifer Kutcher and her husband, Michael, and Christopher Balog, his wife, Jackie, and their son, Brenner.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover by The Rev. Michael P. Reid, II. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
